Real Estate Agents – Who Needs Them?
Robot Agents? Hmm… not yet.
With so many great online resources for property search, lender portals, and even property valuation you may wonder what role does a real estate agent play anymore? And who really needs a real estate agent?
Here are some of the key reasons I believe the agent is essential to ease the real estate transaction and help you achieve your goals as a buyer or seller:
- Representation
I put your interest as a buyer or seller as my top priority – I only represent you. My negotiation strategies help achieve mutual agreement between parties. I will be with you through the entire process as a partner. - Expertise
I constantly update my knowledge of the local market to my clients. It’s my job to have my finger on the pulse of housing stock and valuations by neighborhood. I have access to tools that are exclusively for real estate agents that allow me to get a deep understanding of a property’s history, comparable sales, and other factors that influence the valuation. And contracts can be a challenge to handle. An experienced agent can help you navigate the terms and give you maximum protection. - Transactional Excellence
I collaborate with inspectors, escrow, and title companies to close the traction smoothly. After an offer is accepted the process will typically include: inspections, appraisal, title, escrow, loan process, and so on.
